Background Investigations
These investigations are utilized in both criminal defense, civil litigation and due diligence investigations and can be conducted with or without the individual’s consent. It is always advantageous to know as much as possible about victims/witnesses/suspects and other involved parties. We can provide:

Locate Investigations ("Skip Trace")
Sometimes this type of investigation is called "Skip Tracing". We locate witnesses, previous clients, errant spouses, beneficiaries and other missing persons. This is a significant aid in trial and litigation support, disbursements and collections.
InsuranceInvestigations (Workers' Comp.)
ABLE can investigate Workers' Comp. claims to ensure the claimant is actually temporarily disabled due to an on-the-job injury or illness. Sometimes it is necessary to conduct surveillances and gather videotape and/or still photographs to document that the claim filed is truthful. We document the claimant's physical activity while covered by Workers' Comp. and/or under a doctor's care.
If evidence is gathered showing that the claimant was not actually injured to the extent claimed, ABLE will provide courtroom testimony when necessary.
Pre-Employment Investigation
Pre-employment background investigations are recommended for almost any position in almost any industry. The investigation is designed to verify the truthfulness and/or the honesty of the applicant based upon their application, resume, and/or interview. An employer has much to lose by hiring a bad employee. Whether it is through internal theft, safety violations, or productivity, there is a potential for huge economic losses.
There are varying degrees of background investigations to accommodate the different degrees of responsibility placed on the potential employee.
An Identity verification should be conducted on all employees. These reports show previous addresses, verify social security numbers, date of birth, and various other identifiers. If the position calls for handling cash or other high value items, we also suggest pulling a credit report on that individual. This would give you an overview of their financial circumstances giving the employer an understanding of how they might handle the company’s funds. This part of the investigation would be conducting a criminal history check. This is very significant because the employer should not incur the liability of placing a person into their workforce who has a past history of violence or other serious matters.
Process Service
Permanently appointed in State and Superior Courts in Cobb County and Fulton County in Georgia. Private and Corporate process service is also available. ABLE Investigations regularly serves process for out-of-state clients. We can and have been specially appointed to serve process on a case by case basis.
Employee Theft
We can provide round-the-clock surveillance to determine who is stealing and what is being stolen. This includes on-site surveillance at the place of business and at the suspect's residence or other locations.
