A New York client recently asked our agency to review the facts of his son's tragic suicide. Our client had many unanswered questions about his adult son's death and suspected possible foul play. Our client had a background in law enforcement and had some very understndable concerns about the physical evidence noted by the medical examiner's reports. After review of the available reports we were able to provide our client with answers to his questions based upon modern principals of a number of types of physical evidence. We also disccussed the behavior of persons committing or attempting suicide which helped dispell some of the "myths" surrounding these types of cases.
While our agency cannot relieve the memories or sadness of an event like this we can, in most cases, provide answers to the nagging questions and misgivings that surround suicide cases. In other instances investigation of the facts may also prove that a death may, in fact, have been misinterpeted as a suicide rather than another one of the other manners of death.
