A few years ago Mr. McDonald was asked to review the circumstances of the death of a young man who had been confined in a treatment facility in Perth Australia.  This death had been classified as a  suicide by hanging and showed that the young man had apparently hung himself from a low lying tree branch just outside the fenced perimeter of the facility where he was being housed.  Review of this case was limited to a number of photographs from the scene where the victim had been discovered and some background provided by the mother of this young man. 

After an extensive review of the information provided it was determined that there were a number of serious discrepencies noted in the photographs that clearly suggested that the scene was "staged" to appear as if it occurred at the location where the victim was discovered.  Mr. McDonald documented these discrepencies, in detail and forwarded the report with recommendations of further review by experts in the field of forensic pathology,  ligatures  and  crime scene reconstruction (for a second opinion).  After further review by a number of experts located in the United Kingdom, a consensus opion was made confirming Mr. McDonald's findings.
