Overview:
The Hawkins Group is a Professional Investigations firm staffed by former State and Federal Law Enforcement Officers and other Professionals. Licensed by the State of Washington (WA License Number 1361) to conduct legal investigative activities statewide, we operate primarily west of the Cascade Mountains from Olympia to Bellingham.
The Hawkins Group conducts a wide range of investigations including Criminal Defense, Insurance, Fraud, Corporate and Business, and Internal Affairs including sexual harrassment and workplace violence. In addition, The Hawkins Group handles insurance and family law surveillance operations providing visual proof for use by our clients. All of our investigators are prior law enforcement officers at either the Federal, State or Local level and sometimes having worked at multiple agencies.
The Hawkins Group is a member of several select professional Private Investigator groups that provide us with contacts in every state and many different countries around the world. This wide spread network of professional investigators allows us to provide our clients with a global scope of investigative services.
Lead Investigator: Michael O. Hawkins, J.D.
A former South Carolina State Constable, Mike was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1972. He practiced law for fifteen years as a trial lawyer in both State and Federal Courts. Mike is admitted to practice before the courts of South Carolina, the U.S. District Court for South Carolina, the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. After closing his practice, Mike became an Agent for the U.S. Naval Investigative Service and conducted felony level criminal, espionage and counter-terrorism investigations in the U.S., Europe and Central America. He then became a Supervisory Criminal Investigator at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center where he trained thousands of Federal, State, Local and International criminal investigations students. While there, he was selected by the U.S. Departments of Justice, Treasury and State to be an instructor in Law Enforcement Management and Leadership at the International Law Enforcement Academy in Budapest, Hungry where he taught mid and upper level law enforcement executives from the former Soviet Block countries. After leaving Federal service, Mike became a Senior Judicial Educator for the State of Washington before becoming the Chief Legal Counsel for a government contractor responsible for the detection and investigation of Medicare fraud in thirteen states and three Pacific territories.
