Blackout Investigation and Security Services was established in 2006 by Mr. Guy Black, a retired First Sergeant with the Maryland State Police. Mr. Black is also a former Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Black has been one of the strongest police officers in the world for the last ten (10) years. He has set State, National and World Records. Mr. Black is a five (5) time World Police and Fire Olympic Games Bench Press and Power Lifting Champion winning gold medals at the 1999 (Stockholm, Sweden), 2001 (Indianapolis Indiana), 2003 (Barcelona Spain), 2005 (Quebec Canada), and 2007 (Adelaide Australia) games. Mr. Black has held numerous commands and supervisory positions including Tactical Platoon Team Leader, Criminal Investigations Supervisor and Counter-Terrorism Unit Supervisor. Mr. Black has an impressive array of training and experiences in high risk tactical scenarios, both as a team member and as a team leader. The values of quality investigations, personal protection and high-risk management were learned through practical experiences and leadership over many years with the Maryland State Police and the Marine Corps.
Our Assistant Team Leader's resume is an impressive list of accomplishments both personal and professional. He is a former member of Prince George's County Police Department S.W.A.T. Team. He is a former two (2) time All American at the University of Maryland with professional football experience. He is a State and National Bench Press and Power Lifting Champion. He has a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Doe. He is a certified Defensive Tactics Instructor. He was a supervisor in charge of security for the Prince George's County Administration Building. He has extensive training and experience in X-ray machines, metal detectors, bomb recognition training and emergency building evacuation.
Our Advance Security Team Leader is a retired Maryland State Trooper who was assigned to the Personal Protection Detail for the Governor of the State of Maryland for six (6) years. He has traveled the world providing security for our state's most important public official, the Governor. His training and experience in Personal Protection is second to none.
