J. V. Bennett & Associates is the logical consequence of another prominent security company, known in the industry as, Viking Protection Services. Viking Protection Services began operations in Vancouver, British Columbia on July 1, 1983, and through the same diligent and thorough approach to the client's security needs, quickly became a highly regarded and positive force in the local and international security communities. This tradition of excellence is the cornerstone of operations at J. V. Bennett & Associates.
J. V. Bennett & Associates personnel have several attributes in common. We approach our Client's security needs with a high degree of integrity and professionalism. Diligent and thorough investigation procedures are employed, along with the utmost in ethical standards and discretion.
Our personnel bring a diverse combination of backgrounds and skills to the security industry. We are able to provide experience from areas such as finance and credit, computer technology, and from law enforcement including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Provincial Government, and Municipal Law Enforcement Agencies.

Mr. Bennett started the Company after an extensive career in government services and the commercial sector. Prior to starting the Company, Mr. Bennett served as Manager of Policing Services for the Province of Alberta, as well as Manager for the Chief Provincial Firearms Office in British Columbia.
Mr. Bennett built a wide ranging association with foreign agencies during his police service with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. From 1975 until 1990, Mr. Bennett was responsible for the coordination and implementation of protection programs for all visiting dignitaries and political figures to the Province of Alberta. In 1988, Mr. Bennett was appointed to direct the Government's Emergence Response Teams for the Winter Olympic Games in Calgary.
In addition, while serving with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Mr. Bennett coordinated all protective operations in Alberta for the British Royal Family, Foreign Presidents and Prime Ministers, Kings and Sheiks, and other dignitaries designated under the guidelines of the Geneva Convention. Mr. Bennett's notable service with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police brings an impressive array of experience, covering all aspects of the investigation, security and personal protection industry.
